The alk tester is a no brainer. Just 0 out, add reagent and read. No tricks to it, the reagent instantly mixes. The phosphate however needs to dissolve, hence the pain in the arse.

WooHoo! Just did my po4 test, .06(4386) ppm. A vast improvement from the .25ppm reading before the phosban addition 6 weeks ago. I'm not going to burn through my reagents, they were out of stock on the extras , but seems ok to me. Used the formula Kris gave, (reading in ppb*3.066)/1000=reading in ppm.

for the alk you can multiply by .056 and that will give you the reading in dkh.

Oh yea for the Droid there is a freebie called aquarium tools, has a conversion for the ALK, temp CO2
