My best friend's sister is a bartender at R Gang Eatery in SD. I've never made it out there to eat at her place, but the pics/descriptions that Gaby posts on FB of their waffle of the day are just insane. Insane.

I've been to San Diego and really enjoyed seaworld, kids loved it. We also checked out the ship USS midway, it's a self guided tour thru a retired aircraft carrier, it was totally worth it and amazing to see how huge those things are on the inside. On the top of the carrier they had tons of planes and helicopters that the kids can get inside and mess around. All my kids had a blast on it.

Haha awesome man, wise choice! Let me see if I can help you out, I was born in San Diego :).

Aqua SD (super freakin cool, they had a 6x6x3ish tank filled with water in the middle, see if they stocked it!)

Seaworld (I like seaworld, but it's not as cool as it used to be. When I was there in june the main reef section was closed fyi. Also parking is $16... )

Del mar beach (there are cliffs right off 11th st that you can lay a towel down and watch the sunset. It's a pretty romantic thing!)

Balboa park (this place can take days to cover. If your lady likes flowers, take her to the free gardens there which is in the background of this next pic. Also be sure to check out what's in the pond ;) )

The view from Coronado island (One of MANY cool views. If you go to the northish side, this is what you'll see. There's a little bike shop that's right in the main northern square where we rented a tandem bike. SO MUCH FUN and it was beautiful!!)

The USS Midway (Its pretty much a one time thing unless you are into military stuff, but it IS cool too see everything on the boat and what it was like. You'll get a little headset with a player that will be your tour guide, so you don't have to wait behind all the people.)

Snorkling at La Jolla Cove (No picture sadly but it was really fun! Rental gear was like 29 bucks per person but worth it. Its called bike and kayak tours. There are some crazy orange fish that will literally be in your face! However its not like a reef in the cove. There's lots of long grass that sways in the current, which can make you feel a little woozy, but still it was really cool. Not to mention every time I go there, theres sea lions barking at people on the beach telling them to move xD)

Think I hit the main parts of everything. Let me know if you have any questions, id love to help :D.

Ps. X3 on Robertos!
