I looked in my overflow cause I had a midas and cleaner wrasse missing and there they were I got them out and one of my bulk heads started leaking I'm sure sand or debree is not letting it seal what can I do?
Turn off main return let the water stabilize. Drain the water from the overflow or use a bucket underneath. Unscrew the bulkhead and clean out under it. This assumes that your overflow is watertight which it usually is.

Did the bulkhead crack at all? The thin abs bulkheads can do that after a year or two sometimes (had that happen a few years ago). Might also be the rubber gasket needs cleaning/replaced.
Took me forever and a day to figure out that it goes on the inside of the tank.
