Alright so after everyones insight i went with pickling lime and a syringe and went after about half of the colony. So far its looking good, about half of what i hit came off the rock when i vacumed the lime off, thats a good sign. tomorrow will be the true test to see how much of it truly suffered a fatal treatment. Using the vacume technique seemed to cut down how much solution was left in the water coloum by probably 75%, this deffinetly eased my mind to the idea of a tank crash or PH spike. Overall i think its looking pretty good. Thanks for all the advice, ill continue to keep you posted.
