Down south by Chatfield we call them the super secret fishing ponds! My cousin Kyle pulled this in on a lipless crank bait

Same pond my friend Matt with a black tube jig.

Man I want to fish those ponds lol... Most lakes down here only have trout... Maybe some random walleye. Bass are pretty scarce in these parts

This was late last year at 11 mile

And recently near midland/Odessa, Texas...

No not yet man I know it'd be sweet though... I'm down in the springs. The only ok bass fishing is at brush hollow but even then it's not great by any means...

Yup those are the ones...actually I didn't know about them for 9 out of the 10 years I lived down here. Have not caught anything that nice yet. Really nice they are so closes and no entrance fee to fish. Just a license.

There are some super sized catfish in there also caught a 30#'er and we threw the chicken livers in when we were leaving and we saw a cat in there that looked like a shark picking up livers and you can catch some nice yellow perch out of those ponds also. We have caught catfish on crankbaits out of those ponds also.

If you are going down Titan rd pass the entrance to Chatfield you will come up on a bike/ped crossing turn right on Wildlife Rd. go down about a quarter mile you will see a place to park on the let park there, there is a opening in the fence about 6' wide take the trail going to the west it will parallel the fence of a back yard it's about 3/4 to mile walk there's 2 ponds down there take your choice they both fish well.

Word of advise also if you carry a lot of stuff down its easy but the walk back is hard so a good clean out of the tackle box before you go is worth it!
