Sorry if this is not correct, however yesterday at the Frag swap in Loveleand, I purchased a used Koralia 3 from vendor and I have no contact info for him hense I asking here. He was also selling a 72" metal halide at his stand. The Power head I bought does not work and I need help contacting this guy. I beleive it was a honest mistake and just hope to trade for one of equal value and size. If you are him or know who he might be, please respond. Also selling a 48" 6 bulb T5 (3mo) old "Chrome". The light has (3) built in timers to control lights and moonlights. The nice thing is it only has 1 power cord. I have used it for about 6 months on my 125 that is 72"x18"x24". Corals look awesome. I am scking $300.00 for light. It was purchased for $600.00 at reef and pond as well as the bulbs. Going to LED;s and no longer need.

It was the guy directly across ReefKoi.

I had issues with a k3 as well, it finally worked after plugging in and unplugging a few times. I also found out that my outlets where on separate circuits (top tied to one breaker, bottom tied to another) and there was a random light switch controlling it.

Was the pump used? Did you take it apart and clean it? I wasn't at the swap, but I have purchased used pumps before that didn't want to start until they were cleaned.

For future reference, usually if the outlet is controlled by a switch the outlet is installed upside down (ground prong on top).

Not entirely true on the ground upside down. In California that has been the standard electrical code for all outlets for over a decade and many electricians have adopted the practice myself included.

Ah didn't realize that was a California thing. Thought it was standard everywhere.

The reasoning behind it is that if a device is not plugged in all the way abd something falls on it if it hits the ground nothing happens but in the traditional style you create a potential short.

If it was the guy at the end his name is Eric. If it was the guy in the middle I'm not sure.
