is the vistaprint shirts the 50/50 cotton blend that will shrink? because id rather pay 23 for a shirt that wont shrink (im 6'6... cant afford to wear something once and goodwill it cuz it wont fit after the wash) than $20 for a $10 shirt.

Id be down for a shirt or 2, hoodie for sure and if the bumper stickers/stickers r made id be down for a few of those

vistaprint's site: "Try on our classic, loose-fit at a great price. Have your logo, photo or text printed on this standard 5.3-ounce, 100% preshrunk cotton tee. Available in 3 colors."

In not seeing the option for color image on back of shirt in the signature soft or am I missing something?

Also just as an fyi these shirts would be made locally so we would be supporting local economy as well.

If its the image on the back you want I don't think they have it.

Here is how I foresee the t-shirts and hoodies looking like and how the bod has discussed the layout being. However certainly anyone who wants to post up a pic or two of how they might do it, we're all eyes and ears.

I have ordered some vistaprint tshirts in the past and I was very disappointed and unimpressed with the quality. Prints off-center on shirts, poor color, and overall just crappy for a paid product.

I would be up for a couple of shirts, hats, decals, mugs though...but not from them.

Has anyone ever used like cafepress or one of those other online printing companies where we could just order whatever we wanted with the logo on it? I never have so don't know much about them.

I would be in for a couple T-Shirts, a hoodie and some stickers for sure.

Stay away from VistaPrint, I too have ordered logo T-shirts and polos from them. The T shirts were horrible quality and the polos were not embroidered, it was an embroidered patch sewn on and as asoon as I washed the polos the fabris shrunk a bit, patch stayed the same size and curled up.

Your talking about a local company doing this? May I ask who? I might be able to play some cards and get it cheaper. I work with alot of local musicians and artists, many of which make their own shirts and own their own silk screening machines.

I know a screen printer that makes my work shirts here in Frederick. I have no affiliation with him other than he does my work shirts and his prices seem good to me. His shop is Custom Precision Silkscreening, like I said he is in Fredrick. I could ask his prices or anyone else here could call.

While I think Cafe Press is pricey they did some of my own artwork and did a great job with the printing. I think you should still make cafe press available and members could buy coffee cups, mouse pads and other items if availalble and the group would get a percentage of the sales. I don't think it costs anything to have their products with your logo.

I like the idea of keeping the money local. As for Vista Print, you can print on the back of the shirt. I had a couple made for my business. They are ok. They are cheap but you have to add an upload fee for your own image too not just the $10.99 or whatever Seth said they were. I think the front could say "Colorado Reefer" with maybe an image of a hairy green Millie. With logo on back.

+1!! As long as there's no cost to this, and the club makes a percentage of sales... this almost seems like a no-brainer, at least for coffee cups and whatnot. I'd still order a tshirt (or tank top) and a hoodie and a hat from the local folks.

I think we should go for the quality even if it costs a bit more. The club should make a but of profit as well. As for the cup idea... offensive as hell! I make real cups and find those mass produced ones gross! lol

Hey all,

I have run several different clothing companies in the past and I know how to get this done. I am going to start another clothing company this fall and all of my products will be "reef" themed. I will be targeting all of the products to all reef enthusiasts throughout the US not just colorado. That being said, I have a manufacturer who can produce incredible clothes that you will actually want to wear. Please dont use cafepress or vistaprint. Its a joke. Looks like the BOD has a contact in fredrick, use that! Local is always better I agree. But if you dont want to front the costs I will and put this special edition shirt on my website when it becomes available. I dont use cheap materials or screen printing so they will be pricier ($20-25) but it would be an awesome design. I will also be willing to donate 10-20% back to the club depending on how many are ordered. Just my take on it, and I am happy to help.

thanks,
Nick

Then make me a real coffee cup! Or teach me how. I agree, the mass produced ones are boring, but not all of us are as lucky as you :bowing: and can make our own. I tried once, and it was an epic epic epic fail. LOL.

My Wife works for Zephyr graphics, as long as we could meet a min order of 72 Units I could get really nice flexfit hats for a very reasonable price (edited to remove price). Zephyr makes most of the NHL and college hats you see.. Oh and the hats for the Colorado Eagles. here are some hats they made https://www.google.com/search?q=zep...kIq6ayQG0uoCgBw&ved=0CFkQsAQ&biw=1680&bih=924 I removed the price as I would like to see the club make some revenue off of club merch, BOD can PM me for actual numbers. :)
