Please help with corals

#1
Okay so at further examination their is something coming off my corals. It looks kind of like a long clear string. It is on a good chunk of my corals. Also, my hammer, frogspawn and radioactive candy cane had them coming off them about a week ago and almost over night have turned into nothing but the skeleton left of them. I did a 50% water change today. I am planning on checking the parameters again this evening. Also, 3 snails have died during this week as well. My levels have always been consistent and regularly do a water change at longest 2 weeks, but usually a 20% change. Any ideas of what might have caused this? All my fish and shrimp seem to be doing well and crabs also are fine. Thanks for any advice in advance.

Unless they are touching or have visible sweepers attached to each other, I wouldn't say it's warfare though. My corals do this when stressed, ei. When my PO4, starts getting out of control
