I need to take some pics with a filter. The tank is looking awesome and I have found that I can still grow SPS.

I'll try to get a better pic but he tends to go back in when I am too close.

So I got the new Lifereef calcium reactor up and running, but I feel like I've done something wrong. 1) My probe either needs to be replaced or recalibrated. It has been reading 7.07 since Monday when I set it up and it leveled off. 2) I cannot get it adjusted correctly so that it continues at a consistent drip rate and not have CO2 build up at the top of the reactor. I followed the instructions, but with the recirculating pump injecting CO2 at the top near the effluent output I cannot see how it will behave any other way. I will take some pics and post them up. Tell me what you guys think.

I have essentially the same Lifereef CaRx, I get that pocket of CO2 at the top occasionally. If I open the effluent up all the way and let it pour out for a minute or so the pocket gets purged. It seemed to happen more when I was just setting it up. As for the quick release at the top, I don't know. Might have to send that pic to Jeff. Other than that it looks like yours is set up the same as mine.

pH probe and controller is the weak link in any CaRx setup. If you want to tune it to just run, I can help you with this if you want. I gave up on pH controller on CaRx more than a decade ago... just way too inconsistent for me when I can just tune them and let them run. If you want to keep using it, then I will leave y'all alone.

I don't really care about the pH either and I don't use it as a controller. I just use it as a reference to see if things are on track so it bugs me when things don't work! I am just having problems getting the flow dialed in and was wondering if anyone had any insight.

What is the dKh of the effluent? Don't count out a small leak - had one once after a lot of denial and it was infuriating.

New fish room should be clean and running by the time ReefEd rolls around. Got some plans for cool stuff.
