question on a new coral

That appears to be a Duncan, or Duncanopsammia axifuga, a fairly common (but only recently) coral from Australia that is photosynthetic. Hopefully you didnt get charged Dendro prices for a duncan!

Luckily it wasn't too much and I still like it but was hoping for a dendro lol...

Yup, Duncan Polyps.

More photosynthetic, and there fore easier than Sun Polyps, etc.
Good light and flow, with occasional feeding to increase growth.

yeah looking at his spreadsheet of pricing he does say Duncan. Maybe he just assumed I meant duncan when I said dendro. Oh well they're still cool

Dendro's are really great, if I had a frag I would trade you one. When I feed mine it gets huge.

Guess I will get one eventually lol it's no biggie. I still scored a lot of coral this weekend. My new fav is the blue hornet. Maybe the bambam will be when they decide to open :p
