Tanks staying Hot?

#1
So, since I moved to Colorado, I haven't had to use any heaters. My tanks are both staying around 78 degrees (F). My house is sitting at 70 degrees (F). And this is with the lights off, heaters off. Should I be checking something or is this normal for a higher elevation. In Minnesota, my tanks stayed about 2 degrees different from what the house was.

Wow, your house is at 70? That's chilly! My tank stays around 76 all the time. I'd check the house temp again but as for it being due to the high elevation, it is unlikely that has much to do with it. In fact, evaporative cooling is extremely effective here because of the low humidity, which is the result of high elevation.
