I'm part owner & digital marketing director of a small nutraceautical (Natural Health) company. Our products are carried by GNC and others. We also import/export our proprietary raw ingredients all over the world...mainly India, China, and the USA 
I'm also a part time freelance social media specialist & digital media manager ( Google Adwords, FB etc) for some small local companies. BUSY!

Ive done lots of things in my time from carpenter, plumber, and electrician to everything automotive. I taught preschool for a while but enjoyed my passion for aquatics too much to keep teaching. Ive been in the aquatic industry for a while doing everything from manufacturing, sales, installs, and maintenance but i think my future will be captive coral propagation and aquatic consulting. We shall see once I get settled into ft.Collins.
thanks guys, I have been doing it for a very long time and consider myself to be a master at my trade. I had worked construction for a few years and when things got slow, I went back to the restaurant game. I absolutely hate my hours, but it pays my mortgage... plus it gives me ultimate freedom of schedule, I take off whenever I want to...

Awesome thread. Crazy the diversity. Could you imagine what we would build if they put us all in a big room and said...use your skills to create something...that is not related to life in the ocean...
Surprised I didn't see this before, I'll throw my occupation out there. I got chewed up and spit out by my company a few years back as a corporate consultant...started up a few little businesses that are keeping me afloat for now (knock on wood), one as a management consulting firm that mostly does compliance and technology process consulting, one a dietary supplement formulator (coloagro we should get lunch one of these days)... so there's a random and insanely off the path background for you.
oh and it gets better, wait, worse. at one point i tried to make a living playing in a band. i gave up to try and make use of my college degree. the guys i played with stuck it out, living out of suitcases and cars for a few years. they're not doing too shabby any more...one of the biggest/last bands of the "jam band" genre...umphrey's mcgee is their name...

I am a PhD candidate working as a research assistant in the Center for Hydrate Research in the chemical engineering department. My project involves studying hydrate growth kinetics and development of a high pressure micromechanical adhesion force measurement apparatus.
