Since i'm not planning on using a skimmer, I have a large section of my sump unused. I filled the bottom with filter media to prevent the Xenia from getting to my pumps and into the display, ran a 5K CFL over it, and will let that grow out.
On a side note, the fish LOVE the Elite food! I have a 6 line wrasse, a mccoskers wrasse, a cleaner wrasse, and a marble wrasse. All of them go crazy for the food.
