Who else flooded today?

I live in STapleton, and had some flooding in the basement. We got lucky, no where near as bad as others on this thread or out there. I just finished cleanup, pulling up lots of carpet to throw out carpet pads. Now we dry out for a week. Broke down the tank, that's a bummer.

I will say, this group is very generous. I am very grateful. I had lots of encouragement on my "free sand" thread. And, even some people offering to come my way to help. I had enough help, and didn't need more, but, wow. Watercolorsguy, BryanF, Plumcrazy, thank you guys for the PMs with offers to help.

I hope for the best for anyone affected by this storm. My wife and me were talking about how do many people won't be covered by their insurance due to not having a flood policy. Not sure how this will pan out for so many thousands of people everywhere. I can't even imagine how much livestock has been lost at this point.

Hopefully you hear from her soon! My thoughts are definitely going out to those who are affected by this. Hopefully this rain will stop soon, and things can get put right again.

Well not a weather guy but this storm in mexico is setting up similar to last weeks that sent all the rain here. Only there is a tropical storm/depression in the gulf mexico (ingrid ). If Ingrid and Manuel come together it has the potential to send a bunch of moisture this way. If you look close at the clock wise rotation over texas. This could mean trouble.while I am not a weather guy I do watch and try to learn the weather in this area of the world. Again not a meteorologist just made me raise an eyebrow.

I'm gonna lose my mind if this rain doesn't stop.
On another note, do we need to relocate our vacation to St Somewhere, where they aren't having nasty hurricanes, and the lobster comes with lots of butter?

I hope everyone on MASC is ok, and safe.

I had a little water in my basement, nothing critical, but one of my co-workers watched his car float away, as he grabbed his kids, and wife and headed up the hill in Lyons (on foot). He said he there was a river running into the side of his house (thur PM), then on Friday said he had lost his house.

I feel really bad for everyone, and know how bad water damage can be. It's even worse in Colorado, because very few people have flood insurance.
