I got this same light. I lasted less than 24 hours. It must have had a small leak in the casing since water leaked in, heated, and blew out the casing and light.

I need to give them a call to see if they will replace it.

Wow, mine lasted for a long time, but eventually it got a leak and blew...

I ended up taking it apart and resealing it w/ silicone. Seems good now, but I just started using it again.

The other thing is I replaced the bulb with a 5watt instead of the 10watt it came with. Should be plenty of light considering the chaeto is growing basically against it. with the 10 watt bulb i did notice that the chaeto right against the light (touching) was white..

A much cheaper version...the only thing about this one is i added silicone to the backside to make sure that was sealed.
I have seen that one before but tried to use a smaller led light and it was a failure. I might end up using something like this. I also saw a post somewhere that someone used a led clamp light from IKEA.
