Do it! I think squamosa may be a bit easier to find and not as large in he end... they have incredible growth rates.

Squammy can be had in both blue and green and are great specimens - blue squamosa are a holy-grail clam for a lot of keepers.

Mike Rice told me there was one for sale in boulder about 5 years ago, but that’s the last he knew of.

They are not illegal to import, but I guess that finding them in the allowable size might be hard. Maybe there is some hope since I have seen Hippos for sale recently.

Trident is still a ways out. The earliest it will possibly go into beta is next month, so I wouldn't expect a release until October at the earliest.

As long as the Trident is available by the end of the year I’ll be happy. My calcium daily consumption has almost doubled. That was expected, but my water quality is also already visibly improved from the filtration that the clam provides.

That’s no joke. I’ve got another friend that’s got like 11 clams in his tank and doesn’t run a skimmer or any other filtration.

So how much of an increase did you see on your alk/Ca uptake?

At this point in dosing 35ml of all and 80ml of calcium daily more than before. I’m using Red Sea, and sailfert test kits (1 of each) , along with Hannah checkers. I almost have it dialed in... it’s crazy!

That's actually not bad. I dose about 15ml in my 65 and most of my sticks are 1" frags.
