Thanks Jamie. I have a derasa, my maxima from D&G was doing awesome and then died overnight. So having the second least light loving clam, if I replaced just my 400w for now(it's the bulb they always seem to break) and it's not working out I can move my clam under my 250 halides. Do these LEDs come in different color temps? I think 20k might be a bit much for me, I like the 14k look.

with whites and blue on they really are more like 14k than20k but still not 14k ...lol

Personally, I sold my derasa and squamosa because I didn't like the look under 20000K+ lights. Reef Koi had some 14000K lights that made the clams look good.

Jamie how long did it take your lights to get to your casa once they where shipped?

Getting shipped was the issue, I think it took 1-2 weeks after being made that mine got here. The issue was that there was some kind of long holiday, the workers kept on taking weeks off. They don't always tell you about the holidays either. I was originally told 2 weeks to get the lights, 5 weeks later I received them.

I think you'll be happy with them. On a side not, let's talk mounting. How are you going to hold them over your tank?

FYI ....the cables broke on mine...i probably put a little extra stress on them crossing them over a pole in the center but still i suggest finding a different way to mount them

I was thinking of making a holder for them, like a bracket. The bracket would then be able to slide up and down on my T-slot aluminum so I can easily adjust the height

I am going to gut my cube hood and put them in side that, So I won't need to hang them.

Got that dimmer switch the other day and I have tried it on my lights in the house, so far it works great. Might be a a good temp way to dim my whites till the coral get used to it.

thanks a lot for your support and understanding before, but we made a mistake for your order, maybe the color ratio of these 12pcs aquarium lights is made wrong, it is blue460nm:white20000K=35:84, I remember you need blue460nm:white20000K=84:35. so I am so so sorry about this. and just now we had a urgent meeting for this mistake.

As our experience, 35blue:84white has the same effect with 84blue:35white, they are both benifit to reef and coarl. so I suggest you testing these 12 units aquarium lights or some of them, and hope you negotiate with your customers if you want to sell them.

So what is opinion? if you really don't accept this aquarium light with blue460nm:white20000K=35:84, we must manufacture 12 pieces lights again for you, but it will take several days again.
