So I'm a smart one, completely forgot that I had my RKL just sitting in the basement that I could've been using for this tank. Also, picked up the first coral for the tank. We were at Aquatic Art yesterday and they had a nice piece of frogspawn that I got. Fragged it up into four separate pieces to spread it out. Three went in the pico and the other in the 20 as a backup should something happen with the frags in either tank.

the smaller it is the harder it is when it comes to water quality you will have to be vigilant with testing spring for the best one feeding can be harsh i had a 29 reef with a hob filter that just had rubble and cheato and it stayed just fine but the thing was getting the water just right to have the natural buffer kick in with the sand and liverock
