i dont want to argue and not choosing sides but aside from the OP issue im wondering how a salinity of 1.022 causes HA

We all have the ability to express our speech freely anddiscuss the constition regardless of our backgrounds. I honor the military and all that they do and part of that is ensuring American's rights of free discussion of the constitution.

im sorry jamie that was over the top ....i applaud you for your service and am forever greatful but i have rights and i will talk about them to whoever and whenever i want about them ....both my grandfathers and my father served not that it mattters ... i am ineligible BTW

He's talking bout free speech. I appreciate his relating his experience about Elite. My experience w. Elite has been fine. In my current tank, the one fish out of 5 that died was purchased from Elite but I attribute this to bad luck. That said Fox, salinity of 1.22 is bad for inverts.

As an outsider hundreds of miles away from Elite Reef (ER) here is my own small business owner...looks like fox face was nervous about the purchase, but at the time was swayed into the sale by the promise of being taken care of. As a business owner no matter how naive your employees are you must stand up to their uneducated promises, which it looks like Elite Reef did. Time line or not, in my opinion the customer is always right, again which ER tried to do. I have been burned many times with rude/unhelpful staff but that doesn't mean their crummy treatment is the mission of the business. If I were the judge my verdict is fox face call ER and talk to the owner, and if his mission meets your expectitations great, if not repost in all CAPS!

As for the comment "you sir are an idiot," not cool.

Ok now that this is reopened I would like to comment on a few things.
We (Elite Reef) have nothing to do with threads being opened closed or any of the adminastrative stuff on MASC. We did not make any calls,PM's or emails involving this thread.
We have a legitimate unhappy customer. I remember the purchase, and I told the customer that I would take care of him. Our store policy is "no guarranty on livestock", but we do make exceptions to this at our discretion, on a case by case basis. This is one of those times that I would. I did not like the way the abalone looked myself when we sold it to him The abalone in question was last abalone from a small shipment, a different abalone then the type we like to stock. We, Heather and I discussed with the customer that we weren't too familiar with that type, and to let us know if it didn't work out. I understand his fustration when he called and was told we would not warrant the abalone. We take genuine care of the livestock in our store, and never intentionally sell anything that we are concerned about without a conversation. Since the store has a "no livestock guarantee", and it's posted in several places in the store, in our absence our employees adhere to company policies.

In situations like this, the customer is right, and justified in being frustrated.

This hasn't been taken care of. I haven't received a phone call yet, and believe we may have lost a customer over this issue.

Whatever the word is meant to be, it isn't needed. CJ is fully capable of responding and taking care of his customers, he doesn't need us to come to his rescue. A lot of us have had great visits to Elite but this guy apparently didn't. Let's let the folks at Elite take care of it.

Any posts other than from foxface, or elite reef will be removed, the only reason this thread is still open is attempted resolution in the best interest of a sponsor, and community member.
