Dang I’m just reading this! Glad everything made it! I can’t imagine what all the teachers are going thru to transition to online courses in such a short period of time.

Still struggling with stability. Things all look colorful and happy but I need to get things in check soon.

Online classes are starting soon... it’ll be research assignments for my ceramics classes as they don’t have equipment even if I do video demonstration. We do have the capability baked into all our classes and I might do it for some things. I’ve also been surprised with on line resources that small businesses are giving away to university students! Generosity is amazing! I only wish my direct boss wasn’t a ..... about everything. But I digress.

Thanks! About to build a new hood. Using a laser cutter for some cool acrylic inserts.

I don't think the pictures do it justice. I saw the tank yesterday, and everything is looking so good! Could use a bunch of clowns though
Thanks Chris! It’s always something. Having trouble with a couple corals and polyp extension. I think it might be the filefish nipping as everything else seems to be in good consistent order.

Changed the lighting up a bit. Running two halides still with three kessil 360’s and two Orphik led bars (which are pretty incredible) the coverage with the halides is still good in the 5.5 foot tank. Plus the power usage went down quite a bit. Time will tell with the results.

I also re built a floating hood to cleanly house all the lights, ballasts and such. I can adjust the height of the hood as well as the kessil’s.

So the sump area was super clean when I first did it. As I changed heaters and cleaned pumps it got out of hand over the years. My “wire management “ was more about hiding wires rather than managing them...

So I am moving the sump to. Different wall and built some simple controller panels. I can easily open them up and remove equipment and replace. I also used some 1” extension cords to clean things up... and make changing things easy.

The sump still needs to be moved over, waiting on some plumbing parts... and the DoS will be mounted here as well. My skimmer is also being moved to a spot that keeps the equipment safe and dry along with being easier to maintain.
