So I'm ready to stain the stand but not sure what color! What does everyone think light or dark color stain? I was thinking of painting the inside of the stand w pool paint!

Depends on if you are doing natural, or colored, I like colored stains, like greens and reds, but the colored stains only look good dark. If you are doing a natural finish either light or dark looks good.
