How should I get rid of these hydroids?

Hi all,

I have what I think are hydroids on my Gobstopper Zoas. So far, they only seem to be on this Zoa colony. I think they might be spreading? I feel like sometimes the head that has more hydroids will close earlier than the others, so maybe they're annoying the Zoa?

Take off and nuke um from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Any suggestions for treatments to kille them? There are so many the I’m not sure that I can manually remove them all.

I'd try dipping the colony in Bayer or Coral RX and take a toothbrush and lightly scrub the base of them. Be sure to scrub them under water though as you dont want to give yourself paly toxin poisoning

I've scrubbed them with a cotton swap, and the hydroids stay put.

From what I've read, Coral RX, Revive, etc, won't affect hydroids. It sounds like Febendazole is the only thing that is effective for them? I question because a lot of folks mention that it didn't work form them. But know knows what dosage they actually used, and if there were actually dealing with hydroids.

For now I stuck the Zoas in an isloation tank. I'm going to try treating with Fenbendazole and see how it goes. Hopefully the Zoas survive, but if they don't, probably better than hydroids everywhere.
