Excuse my lack of staining knowledge. Is there a sealer that you could apply that would seal the wood, yet allow it to look still like this:

I believe that minwax does make one but I have never used it.

YES I am! But they are only stripped, so I have tons of sanding to do. They may be the last thing on this build, but who knows.
