Lowest cost and easiest way to eliminate green hair, bubble, turf and slime algae

So I decided to build one of these today. It's huge because all I had was a 12 inch airstone, but I'm hoping that won't matter too much. I'll post some pics later and a review as it gets going! It cost me less than $20 to build, so if it works that is the best bang for the buck I have ever seen in the war on algae!

they say to run the lights 18 hours, not sure it would make much difference. I was amazed how much hostility there is on the other sites to this scrubber.

Algae need to sleep. If you leave the light 24/7, algae stops growing.
