They are nice. I have seen lots of good growth and entrusting from my sps. I have been luck enough to have a par meter to dial in all my lights. I am excited to see how that works out. I now run ai sols and t-5s

530s at the surface. 350-400 at the sps 100-150 @ sand

11" above the water

Whites 45%
Blues 80%
Royal blue 85%

4x 48" t-5s with reflectors
2x lagoon blue
1 atinc +
1 aqua pink

3 hrs a day

so were the chinese leds not putting out the par you wanted or was it a look think and what kind of chinese leds were they?

No to much par! I had 90 degree optics and with my t-5s I had about 900 par 8" down. and almost 300 on the sand. With just the blues on I was 450ish but my tank was blue all day. I should have removed the optics and they would have been fine. But I like the control of the sols. I want to use the t-5 too so I was able to do fine tuning so to speak.

maybe I should check my par I've had a lot of bleaching on my sps since the move some are fine some arent oddly enough the ones higher in the tank arent bleaching and they are closer to the lights than in the 120

Mike, if you were to get the Chinese led's for a 30" deep tank what lense would you choose?

Do you own the par meter or is it the club meter you are using?
