Thanks for the links. I have 3 different alk tests that I can use. I just sent my sample to the so-called experts because I was not seeing any readings on my own tests.

I will try a poly filter to see if I really have copper and I will look into cupirsorb. I will also plan on getting the lava rocks out. Not looking forward to that.

If you need a hand getting the rocks out lmk. I also have a ton(over 40) rubbermade tubs if you need to put your livestock in.

Polypad is a great tool, it will change colors depending on the contaminate.
Any copper is bad, especially when it is steadily raising even despite water changes.
Check the heater if there is one, (they have copper parts inside) and when you pull the rocks look for debris from the bulb explosion.
Run some GAC for a while, and remove any lace rock and lava rock, either one can leach silicate, and heavy metals if the are any present (which we have no idea).
