Reef brite lights? Are they worth it?

I'm looking to get a 6' reef brite all blue set. Are they worth the money? Do they really make your colors pop? I am running 4 Eco brites with 65 LEDs half blue half white, and they are brite. What are your thoughts or other ideas?

Yes but if you have a 6foot tank you really only need 4' reefbrights IMO.

Cheek out the new xho series they have 50% more lights. And reefkoi has some strip lights now. Similar specs to the 1st gen reefbrite for lower price.

Nice I always like the new technology. Still any one have some first hand interest? I wish you could try it before you buy it.

A 4' all blue RB will cover a 6' span now if you went all RB then you might want to go with 6' so there is no worries with coral growth at the outer ends of your tank. I run a 24" RB on my 36" tank and it is more than enough light and at one piont in time i had it on a 48" tank and it covered 90% of it. You might also talk to Mark(Boogie) he has a 48" RB on his 6' tank. HTH

Thanks boys, when you have them on and off can you see the difference? My colors are good now, I just want the pop that I see in pics.

When you have your LEDs on your prob not going to see a big diffrence but on your sunset/rise cycle it will make a big diffrence IMO.

As Dillon mentioned I run a 4' on a 6' tank and find the spread both ways to be adequate. While I wouldn't say they make a huge difference when the t5s are all on (some more pop but not like a night and day difference), they definately make a big, pleasing, pop when they are on alone (to the point of finding corals that are dropped, little dna frags that have blown around, all sorts of stuff that I never saw). I'd do it again (and probably will on my other tanks).

The evo strips are nothing like reefbrites. Evo uses 1watt led
Reefbrite uses 3 watt led. Huge difference.

Yes I am a reefbrite dealer.
cool thanks Gonz. I know 3w leds running at lower wats last longer. what other difference is there? both strips end up with the same final wats just requires more 1ws to do it. Im no LED expert thats why i ask.

I have only reefbrites on my DT. They work great and everything grows. I had 1 all blue strip along with my T5s and was so happy with them that I moved on to all LEDs.

I only have a 4 foot 50/50 RB over my 72 mixed reef my ponape birds nest has never looked better. Gonna be hitting josh up again for another Rb here pretty soon. Get the 6 footer if your tank is six foot you wont regret it trust me

So it sounds that the reef bright is great by it's self but ith other lights it doesn't really make a huge difference.
