Sand sifting starfish

So I recently inherited a sand siding star fish (Thanks Mike via Cris). Anyway I just found it climbing to the top of my glass tank. Do they climb glass? Is this a sign of anything? All thoughts appreciated.

Mine would do it now and then nothing ever happened after that

Mine used to do it a lot, then he would drop off, maybe he trying to commit suicide???

Mine does it daily, he's just getting his exercise

Mine did it once, I figured he was hungry, I fed the tank alot, never saw him again

I have been reading that maybe it is hungry. Then started being paranoid that my tank is too clean for some reason. Lol so who knows. Keep the experiences coming though I'm intrigued
