So checking my params today. Using a red sea calcium test kit the calcium is off the chart, so over 500 (don't really know if it is a problem or not) and the alk, which I test a lot more regularly with a hanna checker has stayed at a solid 8.4. The magnesium is also high at about 1500, also using a red sea test kit.

I am using a calcium reactor.

SO, experts out there, do I worry about the 550 ish calcium? If so what method should I use to drop it?...

its just kent thats normal i can check the w/c water I have going if you want
As long as the high calcium isn't a problem i'm not worried. I'd imaging the calcium demand will take off as the tank starts to establish, coralline starts to grow, and I add more coral and it grows. I can always add some baking soda to raise the alk if it doesn't keep pace. Just wanting a couple opinions. Lots of better reefers around here than me, I'm also ned to kent salt.

Kent salt is great for the price! We use it on all the systems at the store.
