This is Wookie and Wicket. I haven't figured out how i keep taking pictures that make Wicket (brown with the tongue) look bigger than Wookie, but here is a sample. They are both Lasha Apsos but Wookie is in the 23 lb range and Wicket is in the 13 bl range. For as subborn is she is and as much as i didn't want to have a second dog, Wicket was the most loving dog you could imagine while we were back in Dayton at hospice. She layed at my Nana's feet and would come up and put her head on Nana's hand. For being 4-5 months old, she brought more love and smiles during those last days than you could have imagined. To think that we had only found here a few weeks prior to the call and we only brought her because she had a tummy bug, I now can't imagine how I would have made it thought those long nights or missed the laughter that she brought out of Nana. Wolves...they're dogs too! We went a couple weekends ago to the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center and got to play with a few. Only one of them thought I was especially tasty...

Here is Cami. She is part Bernese Mtn Dog and part English Shepherd. She believes she is a people though....

Well I adopted a new dog. This poor guy was starving, missing most of his teeth and was severly abused. He shakes in fear if you just walk up to him and will often run away. Hard to tell in the pic but he is just skin and bones. The shelters feed them just enough to stay alive it would seem since they've had him 4 months. I have had him almost 2 weeks now and he has gained a pound and actually comes to me now when I call him. It's sickening that someone could abuse an animal so badly but I am turning his life around. I named him Spencer.

Cherub, your a great person for rescuing that little guy. I hate to see abused and neglected animals and its nice to see someone taking a chance with one to give it the life it deserves.

Well thanks :) I wasn't fishing for a compliment or praise, rather I wanted to share my experience for awareness. I don't think these animal shelters get enough donations to feed these animals. I mean Spencer looked like death when i seen him. He had been in a shelter out of state in Oklahoma and brought here to get him a home. So for at least 4 months he was in a shelter and he was literally starving to the point of ribs showing. If anyone is able to donate then just stop by a shelter and do what you can. These animals needs all the help they can get.
