What in the Sam Hell?

Another question, I know it will be hard without photos but I cannot get a shot of it at all.. On the underside of one of the live rocks is a milky colored carpet shaped creature (with mangrove shaped "roots?") (total area 1 square inch) with a few mouthlike tubes about 1 cm long, any ideas what this is and do I want to get rid of it or keep it?

Looks a lot more like some of the sponge pictures, certainly does not resemble any of the tunicates I found

Different direction but bristle stars: good or bad?

I think you mean brittle star, ya they are good. Bristle worms are good too. Both will scavenge uneaten food and detritus. Bristle worms will give you quite the sting, but they hide in rocks most of the time.

Thanks, yes brittle star, the wife was battling a bristle worm when I was typing, brain couldn't keep up
