Today I had a ballast on my T5 fixture go out. I already have one 120w 20k evo that I can pull from my frag tank. Wondering if anyone has one laying around that they would be willing to part with. Mine is the old style with the 1w led's so I'm a bit hesitant to go this route. also thinking of talking the wife into letting me buy two of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-Shippi...350?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec78893de Let me know what you think, even if you do not have one for sale. I will be putting these over a 48" long 30" tall tank. Might also be willing to trade a 28g JBJ nano with stand.

There is a group buy on scmas.com for lights just like that every other month also Campbell on scmas.com has 2 used 120watt evo older style for sale right now for a steal, sure they are in the springs but worth the drive IMO

Only problem with the ones Campbell has is the one cord... really want to be able to run the blue and white independently.

Yeah the blues are always on. You can only turn the white on and off. What I did was have the cord on a full day timer and since my white cycle has always been very short I just manually turned whites on an off...

I also have a 120w Tao tronics led panel that has 2 switches and two cords for sale but it is only a 1:1 blue/white ratio. Still a really nice light though

Yeah, that would be a problem 20k on one side and much lighter on the other.

Yeah Ill be honest, I didn't read the whole post. I was just trying to let you know what I have. If I can help I will but I have others interested right now in the older Evos...

WTB 120w 20k LED

I just ordered 2 that look just like those. "Full spectrum" 90 deg optics. From topledseller on eBay last night. My thought was that the more colors the better the spectrum would be. I think that is an improvement in led's and the 2 color ones are a step back. I am no expert though, and am taking a leap of faith. I am going to employ the help of a par meter when I set them up so I don't fry anything with too much light. I'll fill you in on my experience.

What do you guys think of these "full spectrum" LED's as opposed to a standard blue and white LED? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Pack-Col...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item4d093763a6

Any experience with them?
I bought a set of the full spectrum's back in February from the same seller. I am happy with them and can't complain about the price. My only complaint was that it took 2 weeks for delivery. I live west of Berthoud, you are welcome to come check them out.

I just might, I am curious if the red and green bulbs add anything to the pop of coral, because my research seems to lead to them not being a usable spectrum for coral growth. A good read: http://www.reefbrite.com/benefits-red-green-leds-science-or-hype/
