    Chewy IO box on sale

I was able to use a 4/1 and a pair of 3/1 a few days apart last week. Ended up with 10 boxes for less than $400. You can sign up for autoship and save $20 and cancel the autoship later.

    Chaeto?

I always have a ton in Longmont too. I just throw it away.

    How

IMO, there are a lot of people here, they just don't post. You put something out there for free or cheap and dozens of people PM you. Group buys and discounts and stuff used to be huge, but with things being good for half a decade, stores have not been offering these... they will probably come...

    Watanabei Angelfish // rough delivery

Did it start to eat? I am not a fan of QTing these fish until after they are established and eating. I do not feel that they do well in copper or in sterile tank - need rock and a reef. Anyway, too late for this now. If it eats, your chances are really good. These are hardy fish that do...

    Smooth skin SPS care requirements

These acropora come from the same places that the others do. Most everything that we have in this hobby is collected on one breath. Going deeper is expensive with equipment and certifications and stuff - this is usually reserved for catching rare fish which can bring hundreds of dollars...

    Smooth skin SPS care requirements

Don't dip them in typical dips like CoralRx, Revive or the like. If you have to dip, then potassium chloride or bayer. They are like normal acropora except most cannot cannot handle as much parameter flux - more stability. Most are not going to be happy with higher no3 and po4 levels. The...

    WaterBox 220.6 The 2023 Rebuild

Cut the top off of a coke bottle, invert it, put a tasty treat in there and prop the top up on the rocks for easy access. Go and find the parts for a species tank now. You know that you are gonna want to keep it.

    10 Foot Freebie!

I am shocked that nobody wants this for their oscars, arrowanna or pacu or something.

Reminder to Air Your Home Out

We are in a good stretch of weather, so just a general reminder to get lots of fresh air into your home. Not only will your tank pH be happy, but there is lots of new evidence that indoor co2 of even 1000ppm for long periods of time can have health impacts to humans and pets. If you do not...

    Bristletooth tang to rehome

I have one too in Longmont, but Timnath is much closer. If you need any tips to catch them, just hollar. I usually stop feeding the tank and only offer something tasty in the trap, like mysis - after a day or two the fish start to wander in and they get quite bold after a few times.

Got Rock?? Free rock in Highlands Ranch

Not that this matters much, but I would reuse rock that was known to be in copper. The risks are just not that large. Even if some unbinds, it will just bind again to some organics and get skimmed out or other aragonite. What amazes me with all of this is that nobody knows what their mined...

    Bristletooth tang to rehome

I can come and get it after you catch it. I only really have acropora, but I can bring you a few frags. I have plenty of tanks with peaceful fish that it won't be able to bully at all.

    Bounce jaw breaker

You still want some Motor City? Mine is large enough to cut some if you want to trade.

    Nicky J's Reefer 250

It is polyp bailout by Poci. It can be fun. It can be invasive. If you google it, polyp bailout is a stress thing for some/most corals, but with Poci, they seem to do it when appearing perfectly healthy.

    WaterBox 220.6 The 2023 Rebuild

If you are never going to QT all fish, inverts, corals, etc. then get a small pack of live rock from Florida and let it spread the worms, pods, starfish, etc. all over the tank. This diversity can help some fish diseases as they fall off of fish for that part of the lifecycle - the...

    10 Foot Freebie!

All, this tank is not that heavy. I moved it by myself many times and Mike and I moved it into his truck with just the two of us. When I got it, myself and one other guy got it up from his basement with a hand truck and into my truck. It is not like 10 pounds, or anything, but it is not glass.

    WaterBox 220.6 The 2023 Rebuild

I almost set that tank up in my garage for African Cichlids. I have an insulated and heated garage, so I was close. Just run some Weld-On over the leak and the rest of the seams and fire it up... should be Ok in a garage. :) Of course, I did get rid of it... so that says something.

    10 Foot Freebie!

If the tank does not disappear soon, see if there are any freshwater forums in Denver. I don't know of any but those folks are always looking for larger tanks for their Oscars, Pacu and Arrowana and stuff.

    What are these?

They can live in the sand too. They can eat all kinds of things that get near them. The even eat fish disease parasites like Ich Tomonts. They are great to have, IMO.
