Kris,
Funny you mention about cryo, and micro algae. I haven't had micro algae in my fuge/sump area (besides some dragon's breath) for a few months now. I've noticed my corals have (a) never looked better and (b) I do not have cryo anywhere, at all, and it's been a reallly long time since I can say that... Maybe it's linked to not having micro algae. Also, just measured my NO3 the other day, and it normally reads about 5ppm. It was 0, completely undetectable. I increased the flow to my sulfur reactor to see if I can get some back. //Dave

Dave, one thing is for sure, since removing all my macro algaes and going to a dark fuge I have not had to fight any nuisance algae or cyano.

On another note, today is a big day for my 225!!!

Say hello to my new friends who are done with quarantine and are being acclimated now;
Flame Angel
Potters Angel
Juvi Emporer Angel
Moorish Idol
Blonde Naso Tang
Yellowhead Jawfish

Cant wait to get them in. Potters is pretty PO'd right now, hope he is ok :ambivalence::angel:

Re: djkms' 225 SPS Dominant build thread

Yeah, it sure was. They had a 3 hour drip acclimate due to the salinity difference. All is well except the potters which is breathing heavy and being harassed by the yellow tang. I will yank out the tang tomorrow if he is still being a punk, don't much care for that fish anyways.

All the other new guys are doing great and foraging around!

Yeah, so is life in the big fishbowl. The thing that sucks about the potters is the fact that I never see them on the lists we order from. Finally, after 2 years they are on the list, get shipped to us, live fine through QT and die overnight in my tank. It was breathing heavy when I netted him out of the QT tank and laid on his side the whole time in the bucket. Then as soon as I acclimated and put him in the display the yellow tang harassed the crap out of him. Potters didn't stand a chance. I'm going to trap my yellow tang and get rid of him, I dont need him harassing all new comers. I thought adding 6 fish at once would have helped spread aggression but he just went after the weakest fish. Stupid tang.

Got my hands on a PAR meter, here are the measurements

Not too shabby for 250w bulbs on a 27" deep tank :)

ps: this was not taken with the clubs PAR meter, unfortunately I cannot loan out this one, I only got to borrow it for a hour.
