Water change station cleaned up. I used the stand I had my old sump on... moves the ro off the floor, that was a project that needed to be done three years ago! Lol dingy basement but I have a place to do tests and frag stuff now!


The bubble king is killin it! Next is to clean up some wiring...

On Sunday did you tell me you really liked the Synergy Shadow....or was it the other brand that you really liked. I *may* have removed some corner overflows today in preparation....:smile:

I like the looks of the planet aquarium one better. The synergy operates well but is just injection molded now. Not sure what the cost difference is... you may want to ask mural what he thinks as he has two running on the school tank.

The Planet works well, but it did not come with any of the internal plumbing parts. I don’t know if they offer that but I didn’t get that if they do. It is completely acrylic so really sturdy but has some sharp edges on the inside.

I had some trouble finding the Planet Aquariums ghost overflow on the internets, do they sell it as a stand alone kit? I saw one from eShopps, one from glass holes.com, and one from Reef Savvy that was $250.

The reef savvy one is much less from BRS. And yea, injection molded does have it’s advantages.

BRS has it for 159

Just snapped a couple pics here. Got an aquarium app for my I phone with a gel filter in the app. Does a decent job. It’s called aquarium cam. I’ll document some more this week.

A change I made, kinda by short term necessary, is I’m 2 part dosing... I also am using macro in the sump for the first time I. Forever. Really pleased with the clarity of the water. I do still have some algae in the sand but that’s to be expected with a sand bed of this age.

They come with a template. I actually had the builder cut them for me and told them to move it down an extra quarter of an inch so I could have a small wave motion without sloshing things around. Come by and see any time! (Not Sunday as we have a crap ton of kids, family and now apparently a DJ for a sweet 16 party!?!?!) but really whenever!
