Thanks for the link Kensu.

I'm going to try and feed a bit more, though I was hoping twice a day would be enough. We'll see.

Angels are very risky...I have a coral beauty in my 29g. She hasn't done too much damage. I've seen her nip at a couple of zoas...but she leaves my acans alone. I just have to feed her well. ;) I put my frag rack up high so she can't have free reign at all of my coral...but i'm cautious now about anything high end. Good luck! Angels are my fav, that's why I have my big build getting ready for an angel/tang tank!

Want to buy a red stripe for that bigger tank? Maybe even the FOWLR you're building.

Trap didn't work. Finally broke down and pulled all the rock to get him out. I really liked how I had the rock before, and couldn't get it back like that. Oh well, still looks good. Might trade him in at Elite, but will try to sell him first.

Turned the red stripe into Elite for a credit. The bicolor is still doing really good and not nipping at anything.

This sucks. Sitting here watching the tank and guess what, the freaking bicolor is now munching on the acan. He isn't going after much else, except the skeleton of my hammers. If I didn't want to do more acans that would be one thing, but I'd like to get more. What do you guys suggest?

Bugger just munched on my Xenia. This sucks. Really wanted one of the Angels to work out. Not really worth risking my corals for a pretty fish. Guess I get to pull the rock, again. Wish I had seen this sooner. I could have pulled them both at once.

That sucks! IMO if you want to keep the corals that fish ahas a taste for then the fish has got to go.

Those two angels along with lemonpeels and keyholes are some of the least reefsafe you can find. Most of the large angels are.better even.

This blows. I'll probably pull him out shortly.

What other decent sized fish can I do that are reef safe?

LOL...just PM'd you and realized the red-stripe angel is the same thing as the eibli angel, which was on my list!! argghh...oh well, not quite sure if I would've been ready with the order I'm going to add them anyhow. It was cool that you had two dwarfs getting along though. That would've been a great deal for someone wanting to do that since they were fairly proven! I may try to get away with 2 dwarfs in the 225g FO tank, we'll see. I've heard you can pull it off in larger tanks.

Sucks that your bicolor has found a taste for your corals as well. I guess I just got lucky with my coral beauty. As far as other fish for your 29g...somewhat limited due to size, which sucks. I ended up with two clowns, my coral beauty and a spotted/target mandarin. I love the mandarin...beautiful fish. Best part is I've got it eating dry foods now! So I don't have to dose pods as much. If you have a decent pod population, or are willing to dose them or train your mandy for dry food...I think they are the best! Favorites among reefers I think. ;) Good luck whatever you decide!

I bet you'd be fine with multiple in a 225. If you added them all at once, you might even be able to do 3-4. That tank should be more than big enough for each ofthem to eventually have their own turf. Though when I had both in mine, they were always right by each other. They even slept together. The Red Stripe is at Elite, bet they still have him if you want him.

Since I like doing fish that nobody else has, or at least ones that not a lot of people have, what do you guys think about this guy?

Probably would have to get rid of the clown and cardinal though. Probably won't do it as the wife likes the current fish. If I did, would he be reef safe as far as not eating the coral?

Should be fine with the clown and cardinal. Small shrimps and gobies would be at risk. If you are still looking at trying an angel look at one of these

These first 2 are a bit on the aggressive side but in general are reef safe last oen not as agressive and all stay small enough to be happy in your tank long term.

Thanks. I think the dwarf moray would be cool, but the wife pretty much said no when she opened the link. I'd love to do another angel, but am really nervous now.

The moray and a frogfish would make for a fun little tank.

Dwarf angels are divided into 2 subgenuses. The first Centropyge has lips that are nearly equal in size and includes Bicolors, Eiblis, halfblacks, lemonpeels, keyholes, and heralds amongst a few others and all tend to be poor choices as far as reef safeness is concerned. The second subgenus is Xiphipops which includes Argis, Flamebacks, Coral Beauties, Rusties, potters, multicolors, and repslendants and are most easily identified by their smaller lower lip which makes their jaw look more underslung. They tend to be much more reef safe than the first group but still might pick. There is also a thrid genus/subgenus depending on who you pay attention to that has three members the venustus, multibar, and peoppermint. Not as much info on these guys though what is otu there is that they are more towards the reef safe side.

Wow, thanks for all the info scchase. I'm probably just going to stick with the clown and cardinal for now. Would like to do an LED upgrade anyway, so not adding fish will give me some extra cash for that.

Ok guys, getting closer to doing LEDs. I'm going to be doing dimmable as I don't want to fry everything. I also don't want to mess with pentomiters(sp). So I was thinking of getting a basic controller like the ones offered from LEDGroupBuy.com and Boostled.com

LEDGroupBuy: http://www.ledgroupbuy.com/dim4-4-port-led-sunrise-sunset-controller-v1-0/

BoostLED: http://www.boostled.com/collections/diy/products/typhon-led-controller-kit

I've been emailing back and forth with Milad from LEDGroupBuy and he's been very responsive and willing to answer all my questions. It also appears that the DIM4 that he offers is a little more flexible in the fact that it can turn on fans as well as LEDs without having to get any extra equipment. It's also more flexible in the drivers it can drive.

LEDs and heatsink are only like $150, but the controller and driver triples the price. That's pretty much either controller though.

What do you guys think? These will be going in my Biocube hood, so any premade LED fixture is pretty much out.

I have a nanocustoms heatsink and driver box on my nanocube. I really like that I can control the to channels with sliders or can be hooked up to reef controller to control, also has fan hook up on box.
