Yeah I've seen your tank and it looks awesome! How do you handle the bioload? Just water changes or are you running any kind of chemical filtration to help?

I do weekly 5 gallon water changes, use clear fx pro lasts 3 months per $13 bag. Have a fuge in one chamber with cheato, one overflow chamber has a koralia nano skimmer, and one overflow has the media basket with the top yellow sponge I rinse every few days then the carbon sponge and phosphate sponge I leave alone and switch out the phosphate every couple months. I also have about 15-20 Astraea snails and two matrix crabs. My water is always really clear running this filter setup. I also feed frozen only which I believe really its back on all sorts of waste and algae buildup. If I am in a hurry I will throw in some flake.

What chamber do you have the chaeto in? I want to set up a fuge but haven't gotten around to it. I was actually thinking about getting the fuge basket from intank. I run clear fx pro as well and have been happy with it. The IM skimmer is working awesome and is pulling some nastiness out. I have thought about picking up one of the IM reactors as well.

I run it in the chamber to the left of the right overflow just put it in and it stays, also have an innovative marine 8 w light above it for the cheato
I'm going to build a little fuge light for it. Now I need to find some chaeto.

Astraea snails have to be the stupidest snails alive. I just plopped one back in my tank after finding it scooting across the floor. There's a trail all the way down the tank and stand and two feet away from the tank on the hardwood floor.

Scored a Halloween hermit tonight for what I'd call a good price. They were listed as scarlet hermit crabs and they were only $4.49. My Lfs sells them for $20 so I figured it was a good deal. I have wanted one or a while.
