Just went and picked up a frag of Rastas from rumen and he definitely made it worth my trip. The frag has 9 polyps and he also threw in a 2 polyp frag of fruit loops for making the long trip. He has an awesome setup at the nail salon if you get a chance go check it out and take your wife to get her nails done lol.
Story of my life. I finally get rid of most of the hair algae and I start getting cyano. I have removed everything tht I thought could be causing the issue. I have been doing routine water changes much more often than before and now I have cyano. I need help getting rid of this stuff. Any advice is very welcome. I'd like to try to do it without having to use any chemicals but if it comes down to that I will try it.
IM makes a nice desktop reactor; I've started running biopellets in my Nuvo16 and it's helped. I've also added a filter sock with carbon. Water changes every other week and siphoning are still the best solution.

Yeah I have been planning on getting one of the reactors for a while now just don't have the cash at the moment. I run carbon as well as a little Gfo in a media bag. The Gfo took care if the gha which was my issue before but now the cyano is the main pita.
Now that you say that I have noticed that I don't see very much growth out if Lps and softies at all. My zoas grow pretty slow with about 1-2 polyps every 2-3 months or so. I have a couple mushroom in the tank that haven't grown much either.
