Didn't get much done today because the furniture come today. Here is what did happen.....

What will hold the light up

Tubing that will connect to a pump for more flow

Two tee connectors 3/8in and one elbow 3/8in. Off set to give different flow.

Foam ( great stuff) to make the back of the aquascape....

The tank is up with water to clean it out. Picked my rock out and I'm bleaching it. Hopefully I have made some good progress in two days. I won't be doing much this weekend other the putting the sand and crushed coral on the back wall.

Well I am hoping to meet my goal of before March 28. I think I can I think can... chuga chuga choo choo.

YAY!! Another rock wall! Go with the chunkiest, coarsest sand you can for it. The sugar fine sand is worthless. Doesn't look at all natural, and the color of the foam shows right through.

I'm thinks about using the crushed coral and fill with the sand. It was hard picking the foam lol.

What are you going to seal it with? Silicone? Epoxy? I used the bagged aragonite, sugar fine, and marco rocks Bahamian coarse sand on my foam rock wall, and I liked the Bahamian the best. You're more than welcome to come see it, if you want. If you like the Bahamian sand, I'll send you home with some.

I just bought a bag of crushed coral because I thought that would add good texture. I asked Andrew if he would wash the sand that come in the tank for me.

I am going to use silicone.

Sounds like a great plan. The crushed coral will add texture for sure, which will help it look more natural, and will also help keep your calcium levels high. I wish I had thought of that.

I want to say thank you to those that offered xenia to me. I have decided that as much as I love watching them I don't want it to take over my tank. Thanks again

ANDREW! You stop telling her what not to put in her tank!

If you're worried about xenia taking over, have it on a rock and just prune back any xenia that grows off that rock. That way, you can still have some of what you like, but you just limit it to one area.
