Thanks!

So measured my alk today and found it at 11 dkh so had to turn off the calcium reactor and now I think I need a more reliable way to feed the calcium reactor with water. the separate pump is giving varying results.
Get a cole parmer paristaltic. No better way to feed a cal reactor

No sense on spending the money on a Cole palmer. Just get one from apt instruments that is a quarter the price. I know several people on the neptune forums that have run those in excess of 8 years without anything but regular tubing replacements.

Keep an eye out on ebay you can get a nice Cole Parmer masterflex for about $300. By the way I don't see a single pump on the APT website that will hold a candle to cole parmer or that I would trust running 100% duty cycle for any real length of time.

If you want the real low down on running a calcium reactor on a cole parmer or any other parasitical on the market refer to this RC thread.

That's cause you are looking at the wrong ones. This is the one that lasts for fricking ever. You can order it with a PVC casing and either a pot controller or advanced controller with 0-5V input for about $300 and they are guaranteed to last 20,000 hours at continuous duty or they will replace it. Cole Palmers are definitely a better pump, but I would rather get one of these for $300 than spend $1500 on a comparable cole palmer that will last 40,000 hours.

well currently both of those are out of my price range :) So I am going to just pipe off my return pump. On a better note my alk is down to 9.7 9.8 dkh ballpark. 1 more day and I should be able to turn my calcium reactor back on

And replaced all my RO membrains in my ro/di system. I noticed my DI resin turning way faster than it should. This should solve my cyano problem in my 34.4g tank.

Hey Seth, your pics are awesome! Care to share your settings? I'm on a Nikon D7000 and always fight getting my settings right.

6.92? That's pretty high. What kind of media are you using. Mine is at about 6.45. It's obviously worked for you... Just curious.
