You NEED a refractometer to get accurate salinity for hypo. You need to bring the salinity down over a 72-hour period so your fish can acclimate to it as well.

I did hypo too awhile ago, worked like a charm, not only do you need a refracto you also need a auto top off to insure the water level stays exact.

What side of the tank do you feed on? Mine did the same thing. I changed where I fed. Looks awesome!

I feed on the opposite side. They have spread out since.
