The new 240 gallon tank was finally delivered today after being in fabrication for almost 3 months.

Everything looked fine when the shipping company dropped it off, there was no damage to any of the protective shipping materials.

As I am un wrapping it, I see one of the main cover's has a crack through it. Thought it was no big deal, they can make a new cover easily enough. Than I see a huge crack in the tank running from one side of the top of the tank, to the over flow, and down the over flow.

Called the guy I have been working it, he will have them start building a new tank right away, and promises me this time they will move it to the top of the list and it should only take 2 weeks or so.

Can't beleive I have been waiting so long, was ready to move it to the stand a plumb it this weekend. Hoped to have water in it by next Monday. Oh well

Yea its a Tenecor tank.

Na the crack is huge. It goes from the feeding opening, the the top left side of the tank, then through the top to the overflow, then all the way down the overflow. Fully cracked through also, not just some cracking inside the acrylic.

There are really two fixes for that. One is to cut acrylic the size of the panel that will fit into the tank and can be welded into place. You would weld it to the cracked piece and all the way around the edges. Another way to do it is to cut the panel off and get a new piece for the panel that cracked. Doing this is harder since your cut will need to be perfectly straight to be able to weld-on another piece.

Just got off the phone with tenecor. They are going to have the shipping company pick it up and send it back. Then see if they can replace the whole top and back panel. In my opinion they are going to have to build it from scratch based on what I see.

sounds like they are just jerking you around now ...they should just start building you a new tank instead of fixing the broken one ,,,,,lame!
