Me too. Still a month and half out. Should go by quick! going to start setting up the fish room after the carpet is installed and I take all the tools and materials out of the area
Looking great, can't wait to continue seeing it come together! You'll feel great once you get that beast filled with water, I know I did when I filled my 40 breeder today .
The stand technically will not be up against the wall.. I will have an external overflow that will be as close to the wall that is feasible. I will then cut a hole in the wall to do the plumbing. When you look at the tank from the side your would see the overflow box which isn't pretty. So I had CDA make me custom "Posts/pillars" that match the tank hide the gap between the wall and actual stand. I modeled up this as an example:

Yes the tank will sit on the vinyl flooring which is 100% waterproof or so they claim. Then the fish room will be on the other side of the wall/ stair well area shown here: View attachment 16360
I will continue with the pictures. Nothing will be that exciting till the carpet is done next Monday and then the fish room project begins. I still need to finish painting that bathroom... ehhh
With carpet coming tomorrow... efforts are starting to move towards the tank and fish room versus the basement finish! Cleaned out some the storage room and have brought some things down into the fish room: View attachment 16383View attachment 16384
Carpet is complete. Baseboards should go up this weekend after Reefstock. Fish room will be the next priority.
Then all that is left is delivery & Tank install coming during the first week in April. One month! View attachment 16461View attachment 16462View attachment 16463
Yes there as been a lot of time an effort to get this basement to where it is in 3 month! Let's just hope it all holds together.
The plans are to have the tank filled with water by the first week in May. Plan is get main display and sump flowing first to start the cycle period without lights, auto water changes, display fuge, pretty much all the fun reef junky type add ons. I do not want to rush adding all the cool automation features because I find that to be an extremely fun part of the hobby. I need to make sure to get QT set up as well.
Me too. I have a fair amount of "construction" type plans that need to happen. EX: shop sink, stands/benchs for display fuge and QT, all of the plumbing for everything, exhaust fan, saltwater resistance to walls/benches/floors.
Yes I have. Will at Premier Fish and Reef will be installing the tank for me. It was worth the money to have an insured installer for this. The risk and initial cost of the system out weighs the cost of the installation.

I started to roughly lay out the fish room. I still have a lot of electrical and plumbing to do for this room. Trying to determine general layout of the room before I run all the essential water lines and power. Some benefit to having everything else shut down. I can work on fish tank stuff.
