    Holiday pottery sale

You killing me with such late notice Mike. If you have any plant pots, send me a PM... rather buy some from you than some corporation. I can make a special trip with some cash if you like.

    Power of the Sun.

Light timer on Mh just turns them on and off. It takes a few minutes for the MH bulbs to fully illuminate, so there is a slight ramp up, but then they just shut off. I am not sure that ramp up and down does for the tank, but some people like it.

    Power of the Sun.

I use a light timer. A few years ago, I did have to replace one after about 20 years.

    Power of the Sun.

I mostly use MH too. I have had the fixtures and ballasts for more than a decade, there is no cost savings in daily running to have the same output and any heat in the room is fine since I spend 70% of my tank cost to heat them. This does not even speak of the excellent performance. I change...

    Vemetid control

You probably have to fill the display with cloudy flocculant and have the worms catch and eat it - might not be good for other things in the tank.

    Vemetid control

It hit me while I was driving around that some have reported mass Verm death when dosing Lanthanum Chloride. I have never tried this and there certainly could be other unintended consequences, but I just wanted to post... Here is one such reference...

    How

We did a contest a while back for a $1000 budget tank. It drove some activity, but waned as the year went on. It turned out to be harder for many than they thought, but I think that people might have learned some stuff from it.

    How

Even the large forums like r2r are having to give away things for people to update their tank threads and stuff. Of course bribes and work, but are not free. People are kinda over seeing boxes in empty tanks in living rooms although actual tank threads are cool. A build thread of the month...

    Vemetid control

I smashed groups them and my hermits would scurry over to see what they could get. I only really had them in the shadows and they did not bother anything. Eventually, they just died out/back. This seemed to happen only after I quit caring, right? Seems like they ran their life cycle and that...

    WaterBox 220.6 The 2023 Rebuild

I am not trying to hate, but I doubt that those wrasses were QT'd perfectly for full disease eradication or else they likely would not be alive. They could be totally OK and likely got some level of treatment and I certainly do not do true QT on my fish, but it might be a good idea for you all...

    Chewy IO box on sale

I have no idea why people would use reef crystals anyway, but I know that some like it. I got a bunch of boxes a while back when it was on a super sale (like 30 a box) and all that I have to do is use more acid to lower the alk. RC has some sort of organics in it I don't need although I doubt...

    Chewy IO box on sale

I was able to use a 4/1 and a pair of 3/1 a few days apart last week. Ended up with 10 boxes for less than $400. You can sign up for autoship and save $20 and cancel the autoship later.

    Chaeto?

I always have a ton in Longmont too. I just throw it away.

    How

IMO, there are a lot of people here, they just don't post. You put something out there for free or cheap and dozens of people PM you. Group buys and discounts and stuff used to be huge, but with things being good for half a decade, stores have not been offering these... they will probably come...

    Watanabei Angelfish // rough delivery

Did it start to eat? I am not a fan of QTing these fish until after they are established and eating. I do not feel that they do well in copper or in sterile tank - need rock and a reef. Anyway, too late for this now. If it eats, your chances are really good. These are hardy fish that do...

    Smooth skin SPS care requirements

These acropora come from the same places that the others do. Most everything that we have in this hobby is collected on one breath. Going deeper is expensive with equipment and certifications and stuff - this is usually reserved for catching rare fish which can bring hundreds of dollars...

    Smooth skin SPS care requirements

Don't dip them in typical dips like CoralRx, Revive or the like. If you have to dip, then potassium chloride or bayer. They are like normal acropora except most cannot cannot handle as much parameter flux - more stability. Most are not going to be happy with higher no3 and po4 levels. The...

    WaterBox 220.6 The 2023 Rebuild

Cut the top off of a coke bottle, invert it, put a tasty treat in there and prop the top up on the rocks for easy access. Go and find the parts for a species tank now. You know that you are gonna want to keep it.
